Doctoral School NAWI Graz Geosciences

Since 2006, PhD candidates in Geosciences are trained within the framework of NAWI Graz. This was realised by establishing individual Doctoral Schools at both universities that cooperate very closely based on common statutes.
Compliance with the Salzburg Principles (e.g. considering doctoral students as early stage researchers, concluding training agreements) guarantees high quality standards. Moreover, as the PhD candidates are directly integrated in actual research projects, their work is subject to quality assurance criteria of the respective funding agency.
Every NAWI Graz PhD candidate is member of either the Doctoral School Earth Sciences at University of Graz or the Doctoral School Geosciences at TU Graz.
